Kununurra

Kununurra is a small town in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, surrounded by beautiful nature and amazing outdoor adventures. It is the perfect place to visit if you love exploring the wild, with stunning places like Lake Argyle, where you can go swimming and enjoy the view, and the incredible Bungle Bungles in Purnululu National Park, which have tall, striped rock formations. Kununurra is also close to the Ord River, where you can take a boat tour or try fishing.

The weather in Kununurra is very hot, especially during summer. In summer (December to February), temperatures can reach over 40°C (104°F) and it can feel even hotter with the humidity. The summer months also bring heavy rain and thunderstorms, which is called the wet season. This means some outdoor activities might be harder to do because of the rain, but the waterfalls and nature look amazing when it's wet!

In winter (June to August), the weather in Kununurra is much cooler and more pleasant. The temperatures are around 25°C to 30°C (77°F to 86°F), and it’s the dry season, which means there is little to no rain. The skies are clear, and it’s a perfect time to explore the outdoors. Hiking, fishing, and swimming are much more comfortable during this time.

The best time to visit Kununurra is during the dry season, from May to September, when the weather is cooler, the skies are clear, and outdoor activities are more enjoyable. It's also the best time to see the beautiful landscapes and enjoy the peaceful nature of the Kimberley.
