Wonga Wetlands is a magical place filled with birds, trees, and peaceful lagoons. Kids can learn about nature while exploring the walking trails and spotting kangaroos or colourful birds. It’s a great spot for a picnic or just relaxing under the shade of ancient river red gums.
Did you know the wetlands are being restored to help the environment? They were once farmland, but now they’re home to over 176 types of birds and unique wildlife. You can even see a scar tree made by Indigenous people hundreds of years ago.
