Walga Rock

Highlights

Walga Rock is an incredible place filled with mysteries and stories from the past. It's one of the largest monoliths in Australia and is located near Cue in Western Australia's Golden Outback. The rock is famous for its ancient Aboriginal paintings – the biggest collection in Western Australia! Imagine exploring a huge cave where you can see paintings that tell fascinating stories, including a mysterious picture of a sailing ship said to date back to the 17th century. No one knows for sure who painted it – could it have been a shipwrecked sailor or an Afghan explorer?

Climbing Walga Rock is an exciting adventure for kids who love exploring. At the top, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. It's like stepping into another world with ancient history all around you. Make sure to bring your camera to capture the incredible rock art and the stunning views from the top!

Walga Rock is also a great spot to learn about Aboriginal culture and history, making it a fun and educational trip for the whole family.
