Urangan Pier

Highlights

Urangan Pier is one of Australia’s longest piers and a fantastic spot for kids and teens to explore. Stretching almost one kilometre into the ocean, it offers incredible views of Hervey Bay and the chance to see fish, stingrays, and even dolphins swimming nearby.

It’s also a popular fishing spot where you can try your luck at catching whiting, a local favourite. After your walk or fishing session, enjoy fish and chips by the beach or explore the nearby parks and boutique shops. The pier is a perfect mix of fun, relaxation, and adventure!

Guidelines

  • Always do some research before heading out for your journey. Visit the regions website for up to date information on the current weather conditions. Ensure to check for any updates relating to any warnings that may be issued for the area, and check for the opening and closing times.
  • Wear suitable footwear and ensure to bring a hat and sunscreen to protect yourself from the elements.
  • Always stay on the marked tracks where possible. Never climb fences, they are there for your own safety.
  • Please consider the environment, take your rubbish with you or place in the bins provided. We want to ensure these beautiful places are still here for our future generations to enjoy.
