Tunnel Creek Walk
Highlights
Get ready for an underground adventure at Tunnel Creek National Park! This amazing cave system in the Kimberley region is Western Australia’s oldest. You’ll walk through a 750-metre tunnel carved through the Napier Range, discovering bats, fish, and even freshwater crocodiles along the way. Bring a torch to see the sparkling stalactites hanging from the ceiling and tiny waterfalls flowing along the edges.
Exploring Tunnel Creek feels like stepping into another world. It’s cool and dark inside, making it a perfect escape on a hot day. Outside the cave, you’ll see rugged cliffs and ancient rock formations that tell the story of millions of years of history. It’s an adventure you’ll never forget!
Adult Supervision Recommended
Parts of the cave can be slippery and dark, so adult supervision is essential for a safe and fun experience.

When you are entering the Kimberley or Pilbara regions, you are entering crocodile country. Two species of crocodile occur in Western Australia: the estuarine (or saltwater) crocodile and the freshwater crocodile. The estuarine crocodile is the largest living reptile and is considered to be a dangerous predator. Freshwater crocodiles are smaller and not as aggressive. Be CROCWISE in Western Australia's north.
