Threlfall Walking Track

Highlights

Threlfall Walking Track is like stepping into a real-life adventure! This trail winds through Gara Gorge and follows the route of an old hydro-electric scheme from 1894. You’ll see cool old granite cuttings and embankments as you walk along the gorge ridge, surrounded by tall blackbutt and spotted gum trees.

Keep an eye out for colourful birds like rosellas and lyrebirds, and if you’re super lucky, you might even spot a koala having a snack in a gum tree. After your walk, enjoy a relaxing picnic at the Threlfall or Blue Hole picnic areas. This trail is perfect for kids who love exploring history and nature!
