The Lookdown Lookout
Highlights
Take a short stroll to The Lookdown Lookout for jaw-dropping views of Bungonia Creek Gorge! This spot sits right on the edge of the cliff, giving you a bird’s-eye view of the gorge and the wilderness stretching far beyond. Fun fact: The name "lookdown" has been used since the 1800s when people dressed in fancy suits and dresses for bush outings!
While you're here, try to spot grass trees. They grow super slowly—only about one centimetre a year. Some of the ones you see could be older than your grandparents! You might also hear a lyrebird nearby copying the sounds of other animals. It’s like nature’s own mimic!
