The Briars is an amazing 230-hectare property in Mount Martha where history, nature, and fun come together! Take a stroll through the wildlife sanctuary and see kangaroos, koalas, and colourful birds. If you love history, explore the heritage homestead built in 1851, where you can learn about life in the past and hear stories of the Balcombe family who lived here.
There’s also an Eco-Living Display Centre, where you can pick up tips for helping the environment, and a nursery full of beautiful plants. With walking trails, wetlands, gardens, and even an astronomy centre, there’s something for everyone. Pack a picnic or enjoy the café and restaurant on-site for a delicious treat!
