Shell Beach
Highlights
Shell Beach is like no other beach you’ve ever seen! Instead of sand, it’s made entirely of billions of tiny white shells. Located in the Shark Bay World Heritage Area, this beach stretches over 100 kilometres, and in some places, the shells are up to 10 metres deep.
Take a walk along the beach and feel the crunch of shells under your feet. The shells come from just one type of animal, making this place truly unique. In the past, they were even used to build houses in nearby towns! Shell Beach is perfect for swimming, exploring, or just relaxing in the sunshine. It’s a must-see when visiting Shark Bay.
