Settlement Point Viewing Platform

Highlights

Watch nature’s magic at Settlement Point! This is the perfect spot to see mutton birds, also known as shearwaters, flying back to their burrows at sunset from November to April. These birds travel incredible distances to feed and return to their sandy homes every evening. It's like watching a nature documentary in real life!

Bring your camera and binoculars to capture these amazing birds in action. The platform is an easy and fun way to experience Flinders Island’s wildlife up close!
