Sentinel Range Summit

Highlights

If you love hikes with jaw-dropping views, the Sentinel Range Summit in Southwest Tasmania is the place to go! This 3.4km return trail takes about 3.5 hours and rewards you with breathtaking views of the surrounding wilderness, including Lake Pedder and the rugged mountains of Southwest National Park.

The trail is steep and challenging, but it’s an exciting climb filled with amazing sights. You’ll walk through alpine vegetation and over rocky paths to reach the summit. At the top, it feels like standing on the edge of the world as you look out over the vast and wild landscapes of Tasmania.

The Sentinel Range is part of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area, one of the most remote and untouched natural places on Earth. It’s a special place where you can connect with nature and feel like a true adventurer.

Adult Supervision Recommended: The trail is steep and rocky, so stick close to your adults to enjoy the climb safely.
