Discover & Get to Know

Roebuck Bay

Highlights

Roebuck Bay is one of Broome's most beautiful places, known for its changing colours at low tide. The turquoise waters retreat to expose a landscape of mudflats, and during the cooler months, you can witness the magical "Staircase to the Moon" phenomenon. The full moon reflects on the mudflats, creating the illusion of a staircase reaching up to the sky.

Roebuck Bay is also a haven for birdwatchers, with hundreds of birds calling this place home. You can also try swimming or fishing here, and the whole area is a great spot for exploring nature and enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
