Richmond Bridge
Highlights
Step back in time at Richmond Bridge, the oldest stone arch bridge in Australia! Built by convict labour in 1823, this incredible structure has stood strong for nearly 200 years. Imagine the hard work it took to carve the sandstone from Butchers Hill and transport it to the site using carts. Today, the bridge still carries traffic, proving how well it was built.
Walk across the bridge, take amazing photos, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Richmond Bridge is not just a piece of history; it’s a perfect spot for a picnic by the river or feeding the ducks!
