Rainbow Lake Walking Track
Highlights
Imagine walking through fields of soft snowgrass with tall snowgum trees all around, and discovering bright, colourful wildflowers like billy buttons and paper daisies along the way. That’s exactly what you’ll experience on the Rainbow Lake Walking Track! This gentle walk is perfect for kids, with little creeks to hop over and beautiful views that make you feel like an explorer.
When you spot the sparkling waters of Rainbow Lake, it feels like finding a hidden treasure. It’s a great place to sit and enjoy a picnic while soaking in the sunshine and fresh mountain air. Did you know this lake was created over 100 years ago to supply water to a fancy old hotel? How cool is that!
If you're lucky, you might see gang gang cockatoos or even a shy wombat wandering nearby. The track is perfect for families who love exploring the great outdoors and learning about Australia’s amazing alpine environment.
