Point Perpendicular Lighthouse and Lookout
Highlights
Get ready for an exciting adventure at Point Perpendicular Lighthouse! Perched on a tall headland, this historic lighthouse offers jaw-dropping views of the ocean below. Even though you can’t go inside the lighthouse, the views from the grounds are spectacular. It's one of the best spots for whale watching during the cooler months. Keep an eye out for seals, sea eagles, and fish swimming in the waters below!
The lighthouse was once a key part of Australia’s maritime history, helping ships navigate the coastline. Although it’s been replaced by a newer lighthouse, the original building is still standing and is a fascinating glimpse into the past. Be sure to bring your camera to capture the amazing scenery!
Just be careful as the gravel road leading up to the lighthouse can get bumpy in bad weather. It’s a fantastic spot for families who love exploring and learning about Australia’s coastal history!
