Point Brown Rock Pool

Highlights

Point Brown Rock Pool is a hidden gem located 26 km off the Flinders Highway. It's a peaceful spot where you can swim in crystal-clear waters surrounded by stunning scenery. The rock pool is perfect for cooling off, whether you’re with friends or family. Keep an eye out for playful dolphins swimming in the bay—it’s a real treat if you get lucky!

Point Brown is also an historic whaling site, where whales were hunted in the past. You might even spot the bones of old whaling ships or learn about how people used to harvest whale oil. Did you know that dolphins and whales are part of the same family? Dolphins are actually members of the "cetacean" group, which also includes whales and porpoises. This spot is perfect for a swim, some history, and lots of nature!
