Paperbark Forest Trail
Highlights
Step into a magical forest adventure on the Paperbark Forest Trail in Agnes Waters, Queensland. This short 400m walk takes about 10 minutes, but it feels like entering another world filled with tall paperbark trees and green cabbage palms. The specially designed boardwalk lets you tiptoe through the wetlands without getting your feet wet – it’s like walking on a secret path!
As you explore, listen for frogs croaking and look for colourful butterflies fluttering by. If you’re lucky, you might even spot some fascinating fungi growing on the trees. The trail is perfect for kids who love nature and want to feel like they’re in a jungle adventure.
At the start or finish of your walk, there’s a picnic table where you can rest and have a snack. Don’t forget to bring a camera because the forest is full of amazing photo opportunities!
Adult Supervision Recommended: The trail has stepping stones and uneven surfaces that need careful balance. Stay close to your adults to enjoy the walk safely.
