Northern Rivers Rail Trail

Highlights

Get ready for an epic journey on the Northern Rivers Rail Trail, a fantastic adventure spot south of the Gold Coast! This trail is perfect for cycling, walking, or even picnics. It stretches for 24 kilometres, with cool things to see like old train tunnels, 26 bridges, and gorgeous countryside views. The Burringbar Range Tunnel is super special—it’s home to glow worms and bats, so make sure to bring a torch to see your way through without disturbing them.

This trail isn’t just about the outdoors; it’s also a journey through history! It follows an old railway line that connected communities, and now you can explore its charm while learning about the area’s past. Stop at villages, enjoy the fresh air, and soak in the beautiful scenery. It’s a day out you won’t forget!

Adult Supervision Recommended: Some parts of the trail, like tunnels and bridges, may be tricky for younger children. Make sure an adult is present to keep everyone safe.
