Newcastle Memorial Walk
Highlights
The Newcastle Memorial Walk is a must-see for its amazing views and fascinating history! Built to commemorate 100 years since the ANZAC landing in Gallipoli, this walk honours the brave soldiers who served in World War I. You’ll find incredible steel silhouettes of soldiers and the names of almost 11,000 men and women who served.
This walk features two sections – a 160-metre-long bridge that starts at Strzelecki Lookout and a stairway connecting to Bathers Way. Along the way, you’ll see breathtaking cliff-top views, making this a fun mix of history and adventure.
Lit up at night, the path is open 24/7, so you can enjoy it anytime. Bring your friends and explore this incredible piece of Newcastle’s history!
