Do you love climbing to the top of things and seeing amazing views? Mount Larcom is the perfect challenge for you! Standing tall at 632m, this mountain near Gladstone in Queensland is like nature’s giant lookout tower. When you reach the top, you’ll feel like you’re on top of the world with 360-degree views of the Gladstone area, reef islands, and even Rockhampton on clear days.

The hike is 6.6km return and takes about five hours. It’s a little steep in places, but the adventure is totally worth it! Along the way, you’ll see cool rocky paths, plants, and maybe even some wildlife. It’s the perfect place for a picnic at the top, so don’t forget to pack some snacks.

Mount Larcom has been important for people living in the area for a long time. Its big pink shape has guided travelers and inspired stories for generations. Now it’s your turn to climb it and create your own adventure!

Adult Supervision Recommended: The trail can be steep and rocky. Stay with your adults to make sure you stay safe while climbing.

  • Please consider the environment, take your rubbish with you or place in the bins provided. We want to ensure these beautiful places are still here for our future generations to enjoy.
  • Ensure to let a responsible adult know of your plans and report back into them once you have finished exploring for the day.
