Just a short ferry ride from Triabunna, this island park is teeming with wildlife, including wombats, kangaroos, and even the elusive Tasmanian devil. You can explore convict history at Darlington, a World Heritage Australian Convict Site, or take in the breathtaking views from Fossil Cliffs and Painted Cliffs.

There’s no car access, so hop on a bike or hike the many trails. The island also offers snorkeling, rockpooling, and plenty of birdwatching. Whether you’re exploring on foot or by bike, Maria Island is a treasure trove of adventure and history.
