Discover & Get to Know

Little Blue Lake

Highlights

Dive into a world of wonder at Little Blue Lake! Nestled between two ancient volcanoes, this incredible sinkhole is perfect for adventurous swimmers. Its colour once changed to a brilliant blue each year, but now stays a cool green—a reminder of its volcanic past! The lake is about 40 metres wide and incredibly deep, reaching up to 47 metres in some parts. Special stairs and a floating pontoon make it easier and safer to access the water. Fun fact: The lake is located in the Kanawinka volcanic area, known for its ancient eruptions and mysterious landscapes. Cave divers with permits can explore even deeper!

Adult Supervision Recommended: The lake is very deep, so experienced swimmers only! Cliff jumping is dangerous and prohibited for everyone’s safety.
