Katherine Rail Trail
Highlights
Take a journey through history and nature on the Katherine Rail Trail in the Northern Territory! This 6km sealed path follows the old North Australian Railway and even crosses a historic bridge over the Katherine River. Along the way, you’ll see cool reminders of the past, like old train tracks, stations, and even a steam locomotive!
The trail is perfect for walking, cycling, or just enjoying the sights of the savanna and limestone outcrops. Keep an eye out for signs that tell the story of the railway and how it helped shape the town of Katherine. It’s a fun way to learn while exploring the outdoors!
