Jim Jim Falls
Highlights
Get ready to see one of Australia's most incredible waterfalls at Jim Jim Falls in Kakadu National Park! These huge falls drop an amazing 200 metres into a crystal-clear plunge pool below. During the wet season, the water crashes down in a spectacular way, but even when it's a trickle, it's still an awesome place to visit.
If you're up for a fun challenge, you can hike the 900-metre trail to the bottom of the falls and even take a refreshing swim in the cool waters. The red cliffs and white sandy beaches make this spot even more special, so don't forget your camera!
Adult Supervision RecommendedRemember to stay safe and be with an adult when walking around the rocks and water!

What You Need To know
Guidelines
- Always do some research before heading out for your journey. Visit the parks website for up to date information on the current conditions. Ensure to check for any updates relating to any warnings that may be issued for the area, and check for the opening and closing times.
- Ensure that you observe all safety signs, and be aware that whenever you are near water in the park, there is a risk of crocs! Kakadu has Crocodile Management Zones to minimise risk to humans. Even in these zones you should be cautious. Crocodile warning signs and Crocodile Management Zones are not found everywhere.
- Wear suitable footwear and always ensure to bring a hat and sunscreen to protect yourself from the elements when exploring the Northern Territory.
- Plan ahead and ensure to take enough food and water for your journey.
- Always stay on the marked tracks where possible. Never climb fences, they are there for your own safety.
- Please consider the environment, take your rubbish with you or place in the bins provided. We want to ensure these beautiful places are still here for our future generations to enjoy.
- National Park fees and camping fees may apply. See parks website for more details.
- Do not feed the wildlife.
- Leave nothing but footprints. Take nothing but memories.
