This 7.1-kilometre return trail is packed with history, including the story of the schooner Independence, the first ship built in South Australia back in 1803. The trail is marked with blue posts, so it’s easy to follow as you enjoy views of the lagoon and nearby wildlife.

Pack a picnic and relax at Independence Point, where you’ll find a monument to the schooner and a peaceful spot to take in the view. Whether you’re walking, jogging, or cycling, this trail is a must-visit!
