Imagine a waterfall that flows sideways! Horizontal Falls, located in Talbot Bay in Western Australia's Kimberley region, is one of the coolest natural wonders you’ll ever see. It’s caused by powerful tidal movements forcing water through narrow gaps between towering cliffs, creating a waterfall effect that runs horizontally.

You can take a thrilling boat ride through the rushing waters or see the falls from above on a scenic flight. Either way, it’s an unforgettable experience. The area is also home to rich Aboriginal history and some of the largest tidal changes in the world, making it a great place to learn and explore.

Since this location is remote, you’ll need to join a guided tour from towns like Broome or Derby. The Kimberley region itself is packed with adventure, so it’s worth making a trip to explore this spectacular part of Australia.
