Discover & Get to Know

Gorge Falls

Highlights

The Cream Track is a hiking adventure through the lush forests of Springbrook Plateau, and it leads to the stunning Gorge Falls. This challenging 5.3 km hike takes you through creeks, forests, and fields, with breathtaking views from the mountains to the coast!

To find Gorge Falls, you’ll need to leave the main track for a while and scramble over rocks. It’s a fun challenge, but make sure to bring plenty of water and wear sturdy shoes. Once you reach the falls, the view is totally worth the hike!

Adult Supervision Recommended

This hike can be challenging with steep sections, so it’s best to have an adult with you to help guide you safely through the trail.

What You Need To know

Guidelines

  • Always do some research before heading out for your journey. Visit the local visitor information centre for the most up to date information.
  • Stay safe and get the most out of your visit by preparing for natural hazards and other outdoor risks. You are responsible for your own safety and the safety of those in your care.
  • Plan ahead and check the local weather forecast before walking and if conditions aren’t favourable, consider rescheduling. For more information, refer to the Fire Danger Rating for the region on the Queensland Rural Fire Service and check for bushfire alerts on the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services webpage.
  • Wear suitable footwear and ensure to wear appropriate clothing to protect yourself from the elements when outside exploring.
  • Plan ahead and ensure to take enough food, fuel and water for your journey.
  • Always stay on the marked tracks where possible. Never climb fences, they are there for your own safety.
  • Please consider the environment, take your rubbish with you or place in the bins provided. We want to ensure these beautiful places are still here for our future generations to enjoy.
  • Ensure to let a responsible adult know of your plans and report back into them once you have finished exploring for the day.
