Golden Gully Walking Track
Highlights
Golden Gully is like stepping back in time! You can explore where gold miners once worked in the 1800s. As you walk along the track, you’ll see old mine shafts and remnants of gold mining techniques used by miners from both China and Europe. Imagine the sounds of pickaxes and the excitement of miners hoping to find gold!
If you visit in July, you’ll see beautiful wattle trees in bloom, turning the area into a sea of yellow. And don't miss "The Arch"—a cool rock formation created by the miners and later shaped by erosion. You might also spot the old cemetery that tells the story of the people who lived here long ago.
Adult Supervision RecommendedSome parts of the track have old mine shafts, and these can be dangerous. It's super important to stay safe by walking carefully and always sticking close to an adult when you're near the mining areas.
