Gibraltar-Washpool World Heritage Walk

Highlights

The Gibraltar-Washpool World Heritage Walk is a long and exciting adventure for those who love nature and history! This walk takes you through some of the most beautiful and dramatic landscapes in the Northern Tablelands. You’ll hike through dense rainforests, see amazing waterfalls, and explore old mining sites from the 1800s. It’s a perfect place to learn about the past while being surrounded by incredible nature.

If you’re into history, you’ll find traces of tin mining from the 1880s along Grassy Creek. You can even see the old ore crusher that was used by miners. The walk is a fantastic way to explore both the natural beauty and the fascinating history of this special place. Make sure you bring some food for a picnic at one of the beautiful spots along the trail!
