Four Mile Hut trail
Highlights
Four Mile Hut Trail is an awesome hike through the beautiful snowy gum forests and wild grasslands of the Snowy Mountains! The trail takes you to the historic Four Mile Hut, built way back in 1937 by the last gold miner in the area. Along the way, you’ll see cool views of Tabletop Mountain and Mt Jagungal, and in the summer, the fields are filled with colourful wildflowers! The birds are always out and about, so keep an eye out for wedge-tailed eagles and other cool creatures.
If you love learning about history, you'll enjoy spotting the old mining sites along the way. This trail is also perfect for horse riders and mountain bikers, so you can zoom past the amazing landscapes if you like to ride.
Adult Supervision Recommended
Some parts of the trail can be tricky, so it’s a good idea to have an adult with you to make sure you’re safe, especially when exploring the older mining spots or steep areas.
