Fort Tomaree walk

Highlights

Fort Tomaree Walk is an adventure through history, taking you on a paved track around Tomaree Head where you’ll discover World War II gun emplacements! These big guns were built back in 1941 to protect Australia’s coast. As you explore, you’ll learn all about the past and how the fort helped keep the country safe.

After checking out the gun emplacements, head up to the summit for incredible views of Port Stephens, with the chance to see humpback whales in the winter and spring. Don’t forget to bring your camera to capture the amazing scenery and the animals that live here!
