Have you ever hiked up to the top of an island? The Fitzroy Island Summit is an awesome adventure waiting for you! The trail is 4km long and takes you through a rocky path surrounded by trees and wildlife. When you reach the summit, you’ll feel like an explorer as you look out at the sparkling waters of the Great Barrier Reef. The view is absolutely amazing!
After your hike, you can cool off by swimming in the reef’s crystal-clear waters. It’s like stepping into a giant tropical aquarium! Make sure to bring plenty of water and a camera to capture your adventure.
Adult Supervision Recommended
The trail is steep and rocky in some places, so it’s a good idea to have an adult with you to stay safe while exploring.

- Always stay on the marked tracks where possible. Never climb fences, they are there for your own safety.
- Please consider the environment, take your rubbish with you or place in the bins provided. We want to ensure these beautiful places are still here for our future generations to enjoy.
- Ensure to let a responsible adult know of your plans and report back into them once you have finished exploring for the day.
