Emma Gorge
Highlights
Emma Gorge is an amazing adventure waiting for you in Western Australia’s Kimberley region. This 3.2km return trail leads you into a stunning red-rock gorge surrounded by 65-metre-high cliffs. The best part? At the end of the hike, you’ll find a beautiful pool with a waterfall that looks like raindrops falling from the sky – it’s perfect for a refreshing swim!
The hike takes about two hours and is like exploring another world. You’ll walk past rocky paths, cool shady spots, and even cross a few streams. Along the way, you’ll see incredible plants and animals that live in the rugged outback. When you reach the pool, you’ll discover a magical surprise – a thermal spring that keeps the water warm in one spot. It’s the perfect mix of hot and cool!
Emma Gorge is part of the one-million-acre El Questro Wilderness Park, a place filled with exciting things to see and do. From four-wheel drive safaris in the Cockburn Ranges to relaxing at Zebedee Thermal Springs, there’s so much to explore here. Make sure you have your camera ready to capture all the amazing sights!
Adult Supervision Recommended: The trail includes rocky sections and water crossings. Stay with your adults for a safe and fun adventure.
