Get ready for an epic rainforest adventure at Elabana Falls in Lamington National Park, part of the Gold Coast Hinterland. This 10.9km walking trail is full of surprises, with several beautiful waterfalls to discover along the way, including Elabana Falls, Box Log Falls, and Yanbacoochie Falls.
The trail, part of the Box Forest Circuit, starts at the Green Mountain trailhead and takes you deep into the lush rainforest. You’ll walk under ancient trees, cross trickling streams, and hear the sounds of birds and flowing water all around you. Elabana Falls itself is like a fairy tale waterfall, with clear water tumbling over rocks into a serene pool. It’s a perfect spot for a rest and some amazing photos.
Lamington National Park is part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia, a World Heritage Area that’s home to plants and animals found nowhere else on Earth. Walking this trail is like stepping into a prehistoric world full of incredible sights and sounds.
Adult Supervision Recommended: The trail is long and can be steep in some areas. Stay with your adults to safely enjoy this amazing adventure.
