East Point Reserve

Highlights

East Point Reserve in Darwin is an amazing place where you can have endless fun! You can swim safely at Lake Alexander all year round without worrying about stingers. How cool is that? The park is full of exciting paths for walking and cycling, and there are playgrounds where you can climb, slide, and play to your heart’s content. Don’t forget to visit Dudley Point for some of the best sunset views in town!

Did you know East Point played an important role during World War II? You can explore the Darwin Military Museum to see old photos and learn all about how this place helped protect Australia. Plus, the Reserve is home to wallabies, bandicoots, and all kinds of birds and butterflies – it’s like a real-life adventure safari!

There’s even a boardwalk that takes you through the mangroves and into the tidal region. If you look closely, you might spot crabs, fish, and other sea creatures. It’s an awesome way to get close to nature and have tons of fun!
