Devil's Peak
Highlights
The hike up Devil's Peak is not for the faint of heart! This steep trail leads you to the summit, 670 metres above sea level, where you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of Quorn and the surrounding area. Devil's Peak is made of ancient quartzite rock that’s over 700 million years old. Along the way, you’ll spot wildflowers and unique native plants, and with a little luck, you might even see some local wildlife like kangaroos and birds of prey!
Fun fact: Devil’s Peak got its name because, from a certain angle, it looks like the face of the Devil! You can see his chin, nose, and eyebrow from the nearby town of Quorn. The peak also has a cool history—after a storm in the 1800s, the top of the peak broke off, leaving behind a rock formation known as Eurydice Rock, or "The Devil’s Toenail".
