Highlights

Danggu Geikie Gorge in the Kimberley is a breathtaking natural wonder, where the Fitzroy River has carved through ancient limestone cliffs over millions of years. The gorge's vibrant colours and unique formations make it a stunning place to visit. You can take a boat cruise to explore the gorge up close or walk along trails that offer panoramic views of this spectacular landscape.

The park is home to an array of wildlife, including freshwater crocodiles, dingoes, and wallabies. It is also an important cultural site for the Bunaba people, known as Danggu. When you are entering the Kimberley or Pilbara regions, you are entering crocodile country. Two species of crocodile occur in Western Australia: the estuarine (or saltwater) crocodile and the freshwater crocodile. The estuarine crocodile is the largest living reptile and is considered to be a dangerous predator. Freshwater crocodiles are smaller and not as aggressive. Be CROCWISE in Western Australia's north.
