Charles Knife Canyon

Highlights

Charles Knife Canyon in Cape Range National Park is a must-visit destination near Exmouth. The winding road up to the canyon offers breathtaking views of the gorges and Exmouth Gulf, especially at sunrise. At the top, the Thomas Carter Lookout provides a panoramic perspective of the rugged landscape.

Hiking trails lead through the canyon, offering opportunities to spot wildlife and capture stunning photos of the colourful rock layers. Nearby Shothole Canyon is another great spot to explore and admire the region’s unique geology.

Loose surfaces in the canyon can be hazardous, so adult supervision is advised for younger visitors.
