Carnac Island

Highlights

Carnac Island, just a short boat ride from Fremantle, is a beautiful limestone island and a haven for wildlife. It’s home to the rare Australian sea lion, which you can often spot lounging on the beach. The island also provides habitat for seabirds like Little Penguins and various tern species.

Visitors on boat tours can enjoy close encounters with dolphins swimming in the surrounding waters. The sheltered bay on the eastern side is ideal for fishing and makes a great spot to drop anchor and soak in the tranquil surroundings.
