Discover & Get to Know
Cape Vlamingh
Highlights
Cape Vlamingh, at the western tip of Rottnest Island, offers dramatic views and unique wildlife. This is the furthest point west, with no landmass between it and Madagascar! Take the Cape Vlamingh Heritage Trail to explore the area’s natural beauty, including burrows of Wedge-Tailed Shearwaters and sightings of dolphins in the surf.
The plant life here is distinct from the island’s eastern side, showcasing hardy species like coastal daisies, pigface, and wild grape. It’s a fantastic place for photography, wildlife-spotting, and peaceful walks.
