Brachina Gorge Geological Trail

Highlights

Step into the past at Brachina Gorge, one of the most popular spots in the Flinders Ranges National Park. This 20 km self-guided trail takes you through 130 million years of Earth’s history! As you walk, you'll see ancient rock formations and learn about the region's geology. Brachina Gorge is also a refuge for the endangered Yellow-footed Rock Wallaby, so keep your eyes peeled for these adorable animals as you explore.

Want to know more about the Earth’s history? The trail signs along the way explain how the area has changed over millions of years, from the ancient climates to the evolution of life. It's like a natural time machine! If you're into geology or just love learning about the planet, this is the place to be!
