Antarctic Beech Forest Track
Highlights
Step into a magical forest straight out of a storybook at the Antarctic Beech Forest Track! This ancient rainforest is like a living time machine, with trees that have been around since the time of the dinosaurs. Mossy carpets, towering trees, and the sounds of birds make it feel like another world.
On this adventure, you’ll walk through snow gum woodlands and into the cool rainforest. Along the way, you might spot the rare rufous scrub-bird, one of Australia’s most special birds. There’s even a tumbling waterfall that looks like it belongs in a fantasy film. It’s a nature-lover’s dream!
Did you know? The Antarctic Beech trees are part of the Gondwana Rainforests, a UNESCO World Heritage site. These forests are millions of years old and a peek into Earth’s prehistoric past.
Adult Supervision Recommended
The track can be steep and slippery in places, so it’s best to explore with an adult to stay safe.
