Anastasia's Pool
Highlights
In Broome, you can visit Anastasia's Pool, a special rock pool that tells a heartwarming story. It was created by a lighthouse keeper for his wife, Anastasia, who had arthritis. She found comfort in the warm ocean water that filled the pool at high tide. Sadly, the pool was damaged by storms in 2014, but you can still see remnants of this lovely place today.
While you're here, make sure to visit Gantheaume Point, just a short drive away. This spot has amazing 130-million-year-old dinosaur footprints that can be seen at low tide! Don't forget to check the tide times at the visitor centre before you head out. It's a fascinating mix of nature and history!
